Sacrament of Reconciliation:  PLEASE NOTE:  There will be no Sacrament of Reconciliation at Holy Family this Thursday as it is All Saints’ Day.  Father David will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 12.00pm on Friday, 2nd November at Holy Angels Church.

Saturday the 5th January 2013 the Saturday Evening 5.30pm Mass will be re-introduced.  The Sunday Evening Mass will be discontinued from 5th January, 2013.  (For anyone who is working and unable to get to a Mass on Saturday Evening, Holy Communion will be available if requested beforehand at 5.30pm on Sunday evenings from 6th January 2013)

Advent Lunch: After a successful launch of the Mary Meal’s Project at the Advent Lunch on Friday, the J&P team will be distributing details about the Christmas back-pack project after Mass at the next few Sundays.

Spare back-packs are available to those who wish to help; perhaps some families can get together to fill a back-pack?  For those who may not be able to fill a back-pack, any of the items off the distributed sheets would be gratefully received and we will provide boxes in the foyers for any donated items.  Even 1 item would do so much to help those children in the developing world and the J&P team will make up the back-packs in readiness for collection by the Mary’s Meals lorry when we are ready.

Mary’s Meals DVD you are welcome to borrow it; just see Susan Burton after Mass at Holy Family, or later Maggie Batchelor at Holy Angels.

Thank you all very much in anticipation of a super backpack collection.     J&P Team

All welcome – Lorraine & Jim Brown will be celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversary with a Thanksgiving Mass on Friday, 9 November at Holy Angels at 7.00 pm.  They wish to extend to friends and parishioners of Holy Angels and Holy Family an invitation to come and worship and pray with them as they celebrate this milestone in their lives.  If you cannot attend, they ask that you remember them on the day and thank you for your support, friendship and prayers.

Thank you: Ann Whitworth was asked by Gladys Maheady to pass on her thanks to all those who have remembered her in their prayers, over the time of her knee operation.   She feels it is the strength of Prayer that has helped her to stay strong and to get back on her feet.

Feast of All Saints – 1st Nov:  Holy Day of Obligation

Mass at Holy Family will be at 10.30am and 7.30pm at Holy Angels.  The Feast of All Saints’ is our Remembrance of our own family and friends who we believe are now Saints with God in Heaven.  Our remembrance of them is an act of love towards them and asking them to pray for their families on earth.

Feast of All Souls Day – 2nd Nov:  10.30am at Holy Family and 7.30pm Holy Angels.  On Friday we remember those  who have died – especially in the last year and anyone who is in God’s loving care and being prepared for Heaven.  It is not a day of obligation, but it is a Holy Day when most people like to get to Mass
